OH MY LONDON.
It is truly lovely here.
I was exhausted getting yesterday but so glad I came early to hang out with Mimi and Nikki and get a real Londoner’s view, not just what my school will tell me.
Yesterday was general London-ing (and Foyles, the most beautiful bookshop I’ve ever been in). We were going to see a show but it started raining and since it was in the 50s-60s it was too cold.
Today, we had lunch at a pub before seeing the last performance of Henry V. It was sold out but I got a return ticket and it was amazing. Just being in the Globe was awesome, but the show was mind-blowing. The “Once more” speech was preceded by LOUD booms (I don’t know what caused them, but they were loud and smokey) and a man coming out of the back screaming and covered in blood, so when Henry starts his speech you really can see him shouting it on a battlefield.
I don’t have the energy to write a full review but it was awesome. And Nikki and Mimi’s friends are my kind of people—while waiting at the stage door for an actor that never came, there were performances of Les Mis songs and interpretive dance.
Good day but physically very worn out.
